-SPARTA - Mrs. Elizabeth Wise Warren died Friday, February 27, 2004. Funeral services will be 2P.M., Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at Hunt's Chapel AME Church, Sparta, with Pastor Charles Moore officiating. Body will lie in state from 12:00 Noon. -Mrs. Warren was a retired Primary School Teacher of more than thirty-three years of service in Hancock County. She was a member of NAACP, Hancock Democratic Club, Shiloh Chapter No. 8 OES, and a member of Evening Light Church of God, Sandersville. She participated as Sunday School Teacher and Class Leader at Hunt's Chapel AME Church. -Survivors include her son, Ralph W. Warren, Sparta; daughter-in-law, M. Lillie D. Warren, Sparta; two grandchildren, Joshua Ralph Warren and Joycelyn Elizabeth Warren, Sparta; two step-grandchildren, Sanjenetta (Daryl) Lewis, Sparta, Willie F. Milline, Jr., Conyers; aunt, Lillie Arline, Philadelphia, PA; four sisters-in-law, Lovia Wise, Sandersville, Ruby (Carlton) Weeks, Far Rockaway, NY, Ealeanor (Artis) Rucker, Hempstead, NY, Annie (Bob) Rucker, Baltimore, MD: brother-in-law, Alfred Warren, Jr., Sparta; god-child, Lamonte Harper, Sparta; other relatives and friends. -Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers and/or food to Elizabeth Warren Education Fund, care of Bank of Hancock, P.O. Box 340, Sparta, Georgia 31087 established to provide textbooks for students and resources for teachers. - The family will receive friends at 6P.M., Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at Evening Light Church of God, College Street, Sandersville with Elder Richard Sheffield in charge. -M.C.
