One Love.

When other children ran to two
I ran to only one.
Two pairs of arms for other kids,
Two hearts to lean upon,
But I had one who came for me,
One love to see me through,
And though some kids might wish for more,
One love made up for two.
You always filled the empty space
Left when there's only one.
I'd turn around and see your face
I never felt alone.
The love you've shown me as I've grown
Has always seen me through,
And if I had to have just one
I'm glad that one was you.
