Moffat done on this cemetery due to the fact that it had to be relocated because of the construction of the Town Creek Reservoir. This study shows the background of the property, the results of the excavations, and insight to the foods and diets of the people. A copy of this study can be seen at the Washington Memorial Library in Macon, Ga. The cemetery had no inscriptions on the graves although, during the relocation, the graves were carefully numbered and a marker describing the cemetery was placed at the new location.
