Little Rock Cemetery |
Description: Piedmont National Wildlife Refuge |
Location: Is located in compartment 21. Drive down the Wildlife Drive past the Childrens’ Pond and Little Rock. You will come to a fork in the road, of which the right branch curves around down to Falling Creek and back up, to where the left branch meets it. Take the right fork, and the cemetery is located about 200 feet farther in the island that is formed by the roads. The cemetery lies in the highest point on that ridge. The Wildlife Drive lies only about 200 feet south from the southernmost grave. GPS coordinates in degrees only form: 33.08882° N X 83.71925° W See location on a Google map in a new window (NOTE:The map opens in a new window. The cemetery will be at the location indicated by a red marker.) Date surveyed: Jul 1, 2005 Other info: The cemetery has over 20 graves marked only by fieldstones. The graves are oriented in several rows, and seem to follow the ridge. Indexer(s) or Contributor(s): Liene Lucans |
