Secession Convention. Birth date, per BCC. Home at 210 S. Liberty St.

Augustus H. Kenan was a Confederate Congressman and represented Baldwin County in the Secession Convention. He was not in favor of secession and reluctantly voted for it only to make the vote unanimous, he then "threw away the pen" with which he signed the Ordinance of Secession.
