Boughton Family Fence Repair
Boughton Family Fence Repair
The Friends of Baldwin County Cemeteries, Inc., with a $6,000 matching grant from Watson-Brown Foundation Junior Board, repaired the falling and rusting Seth Boughton fence in 2010-2011. This fence dates from the 1860s. Its coping had been uprooted by large cedar trees, and the fence itself was in danger of being removed because of its state of disrepair. The Friends arranged for the coping to be reset, and the repair by blacksmith George DuPree restored the fence to its original beauty.
